Danielle Mason
Youth Violence Prevention Program Manager
Danielle brings extensive experience in youth violence prevention, community engagement, and cross-sector collaboration to Generation Schools Network. She spent three years with the Denver Police Department working in youth violence interruption alongside law enforcement, followed by a year and a half with Denver Public Schools leading youth violence prevention efforts. In that role, she founded the Lived Experience Immersion (LEI) Program, a groundbreaking initiative that connects at-risk youth with mentors who share their lived experiences, foster positive relationships, and incentivize healthy, prosocial behaviors. In 2024, she expanded it's impact statewide through a partnership with the Colorado Auto Theft Prevention Authority within the State Patrol to address auto theft and related crimes among youth.
Known for her ability to forge strong, mutually beneficial relationships between schools, community organizations, and law enforcement, Danielle is committed to advancing GSN’s mission of supporting justice-engaged students in reclaiming pathways to education and economic mobility through the JES-CO initiative.
