Michaela Hauenstein
Senior Project Manager
Michaela brings more than 20 years of experience in project management, cross-district collaboration, and student support to Generation Schools Network. With a career rooted in helping schools and communities work together on behalf of students, she has held leadership and project roles across regional collaboratives, statewide initiatives, and national education nonprofits.
Before joining GSN, Michaela supported multi-district improvement efforts at Battelle for Kids, including the Ohio Appalachian Collaborative, and spent more than a decade with the Educational Council of Franklin County, strengthening afterschool, mentoring, and student support systems across 16 districts.
At GSN, Michaela serves on the Development Team and supports mission-aligned initiatives through grant strategy, project coordination, communication support, and systems design. She is known for her strong communication skills, dependable collaboration, and ability to bring clarity and structure to complex work. Michaela holds a degree in Psychology from The Ohio State University with an emphasis in Child Development and Adolescent Behavior.
