Brittney Ames  —  Director of Development & Partnerships   Brittney serves as a liaison between GSN and the schools where support and services are being delivered by managing the established work plan and bringing the talent of the GSN team to deliver outstanding results on each assigned contract. Prior to joining GSN, Ms. Ames worked in financial services in business development and relationship management. She was a Title 1 Math and English teacher in an inner-city school in Chicago that was part of the StreetSchool Network.  She has a BA in Communications from Wheaton College and a Graduate Certificate in Literacy Education from Pennsylvania State University.

Wendy Loloff Cooper  —  CEO   Wendy began with GSN in 2010 as the Rocky Mountain Managing Director and was asked by the Board of Directors to assume the CEO role in 2012. While earning a business degree, her love for education was catalyzed through volunteering to teach a business entrepreneurship class for impoverished Denver residents. She brings extensive experience in the non-profit and education sectors, especially in the areas of network development, school replication and innovative educational models. She has worked in higher education (Northwest College, Colorado Christian University & Harvard University) and co-founded the StreetSchool Network, which grew to include more than 50 schools in 27 cities under her leadership.  She holds a BS in Business Management from Colorado Christian University and an MA in Educational Leadership from Concordia University.

Anna Hogberg  —  Senior Education Specialist   Anna has spent her career in education as both a teacher and administrator. She is driven by a passion for educational quality and success for all educators and learners. She has worked alongside district leadership to strengthen school and district Unified Improvement Plans to ensure that educators at all levels have the resources, supports, and unifying vision needed to improve educational outcomes for all students. Anna has acted as a mentor and coach to new and experienced teachers and has experience cultivating positive and productive conversations and relationships with educators, school leaders, district level K-12 administrators, BOCES, and community members. She brings her experience in administration and Turnaround Leadership to Generation Schools Network and looks forward to coming alongside teachers and leaders to help build capacity.

Trujillo has over 14 years of experience as both a teacher and administrator in Special and Gifted Education, which includes working in and with multiple districts across the state of Colorado. She has been the Director of Personalized Learning for Special Education with Douglas County School District, providing special education services for over 7,000 students and overseeing 1,700 plus special education staff. In addition, she serves as a representative with the State Legislative Consortium that guides legislation with regard to students with disabilities at the local, state, and federal levels. Additional education and training include Linguistically and Culturally Diverse (ELL), Literacy, School Leadership, and Elementary Education. She has worked with all ages and programs from birth to age 21 and has extensive knowledge about Special Education processes, policies, and best practices.

Olivia Bachicha  —  Senior Director   Olivia has been in education for 26 years, and has served in the capacity of teacher, coach, principal, coordinator, and mentor. She sits on the Colorado Association of Elementary School Principals board as president elect and recently was named a finalist in the 2018 National Distinguished Principal of Colorado Award.  Olivia is a graduate of Trinidad State Junior College and Adams State University where she earned a B.A. in Elementary Education, an M.A. in Elementary Education, and an M.A. in Educational Leadership. She recently completed the Superintendent Certification from Adams State University.

Meredith Foulke  —  Grants Associate   Meredith joined the GSN team in 2018 as an AmeriCorps VISTA. During her year as a VISTA Grants Specialist, Meredith helped bring in nearly $5.5 million for Colorado public schools with programs related to social/emotional learning, teacher support and training, literacy, student health, and more. She is excited to carry on this work as a full-time Grants Associate.. Previously, Meredith has worked as a research fellow on multiple academic projects, including the NEH-grant-winning Digital Mina Loy . Her passion for educational equity led her to serve as a tutor for years with the Ada Jenkins afterschool program in Davidson; she also spent a summer as an intern at a turnaround elementary school in Charlotte, NC with Davidson’s Education Scholars program.  Meredith is a recent graduate of Davidson College in North Carolina with a degree in English.

Dr. Lisa Leith  —  Chief of Field Services   At GSN, Lisa oversees and drives instructional excellence, inclusive climate, and transformational school improvement. Prior to joining GSN, Lisa was a Senior Consultant for the Colorado Department of Education and Vice President of Educator Effectiveness for the School Improvement Network. Lisa also led the District School Improvement and Quality Assurance process as Director of Accountability and Accreditation for Thompson School District in Loveland, Colorado. Dr. Leith was a national coach for the Alternative High School Initiative (AHSI), supporting 10 innovative educational organizations in all aspects of educational and organizational development. Lisa also served for 7 years with The National Association of Street Schools, first as Principal of the Denver Street School and then as Vice President of School Development for a nation-wide network of more than 50 alternative schools.

She is currently an Adjunct Instructor at the Community College or Aurora in the Early Childhood Department and was named the 2018 Instructor of the Year. She is also a Homebound Educator for Denver Public Schools, assisting students to complete all their required coursework. In her roles as an educator, peer evaluator, and Dean of Students, Shirley led district initiatives in Culturally Responsive Teaching and served as a leader and resource for new teachers, peers, and district leaders.  Shirley holds a Master’s Degree from Walden University in Educational Leadership, a Bachelor’s from Metropolitan State College at Denver in Psychology and African American Studies, and an Associate’s from Rose State College in Elementary Education.

Over more than 20 years in rural education, Kirk served as a certified superintendent, assistant superintendent, principal, teacher and coach. As Chief Facilitator of the CREC, Kirk serves as voice and architect of the state-wide multi-district effort that is innovating to solve rural Colorado’s most pressing rural education challenges with the goal of bringing prosperity and opportunity to rural students, teachers and leaders.

Prior to joining Generation Schools, he served as the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Strategic Initiatives with Global Link Technology, Inc. Craig also worked with a company acquired by American Express Business Finance in a number of capacities including Chief Financial Officer and Chief Accounting Officer.  Craig graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BBA in Finance and Accounting and has a passion for maximizing the impact of technology and school redesign in closing opportunity, academic and workforce readiness gaps for all students.

Kathlene Cory  —  AmeriCorp VISTA   Kathlene is a Michigan native that joined the GSN team in the fall of 2018 as a Communications, Media, and Events Specialist with AmeriCorps VISTA. She brings her skills and experience in communication, research, and analytics to the GSN team and is passionate about helping GSN serve schools across Colorado. Kathlene graduated from Central Michigan University with a degree in Communication. She has a passion for nonprofit business operations and strategic planning.
